Graeme Russell Adage Business and Media ServicesWe've heard time and time again how effective social media is at connecting people, getting our messages out and listening to what people are talking about. But, how many times have we sat and really listened to what someone is trying to say, and discover that they were asking for help, without openly asking?

This is what pretty much happened almost a year ago on social media site Twitter; @JamesHancox had been talking about his passion for photography and his desire to do things for others in the community. His goal was to set up a charity that would do both.

PfC Awarded "Cause of the Week"

Socialize Your CauseI'm very excited to announce that Photographers for Charity was "Cause of the Week" on Socialize Your Cause!

Thanks to a local connection with Graeme Russell of Adage Business & Media Services (who wrote a fantastic piece on the possibilities for NPO's found in Social Media, using me as an example), this US based team heard about us and immediately offered to help.

What they have done for me, and offer all charities/NPO's, is help in getting my message out on a grand scale. They've also provided my with support and education on how I could better use Social Media tools to continue helping my self... And they've provided this to me free of charge.

YoLadies Feature | Linda McCall, OneLuckyRubberDucky

lindalioncub I found Australian artist Linda McCall on Twitter, and after checking out her site, knew that she had to be a YoLadies Featured Woman. Her art is absolutely amazing - stuff I'd love to hang in my home - but she's more than a great talent.

She donates 20% of the proceeds from her art sales to the charity of the patron's choice.
